This past July marked the 7th anniversary of Dance & Company Performing Arts Studio! Can you believe it? As a dance mom of 4 years, and on behalf of the entire studio, thank you to everyone for your support. Parents, partners, instructors, dancers…without you this place would cease to exist. Congratulations to Miss Katie and Miss Lisa for building such a loving dance community.
This year, the studio did things a little differently with a week long celebration August 8 – 13, 2016. The studio offered a variety of free highlighted classes to the community including Mat Pilates, Barre Fitness, Beginning Tap, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre to name a few. Since then, Dance & Company has added some new classes for both children and adults to the schedule to better meet your needs. Check out the updated class schedule here to see which ones you can add.
During the week the Dance & Company family was encouraged to take photos to hang on the memory wall. It was a great way for friends and family to show their love for dance and each other. I’m sure we all have some incredible memories from over the years. Some of my favorite moments are watching my daughter dance her heart out with the colorful scarves in her toddler combo class. It’s so beautiful to watch our children grow in dance. What are some of your favorite memories?
A Fun Way to End the Week
That Friday marked the 3rd Annual Production Preview Night! Dancers gathered in their jammies to watch the 2016 performance on DVD. I love this event because it truly builds camaraderie and confidence in our dancers. This was my daughter’s first time ever participating and she had a great time hanging out with her friends, even without mommy. Moms, and dads, were able to enjoy a night out too since we were able to leave the kids for a few hours at a place we know and trust. The kids enjoyed pizza, drinks, games, the DVD preview of course and to end the evening a glow stick dance party! They had so much fun, it was hard to get them to leave!
The week long celebration ended with a fun Open House event that showcased the Performance Crew and what they can do. It was complete with a yummy spread of pizza, sweet treats, tea, raffle prizes courtesy of our sponsors, and of course the Memories Events Photobooth that was a hit for a second year in a row. If you haven’t seen the photos you can find them on our Facebook page. Share and tag away, you know you want to! Unless you already did!
To top the week off was a brief yet heartfelt and authentic message of thanks from the mother- daughter team Miss Katie and Miss Lisa. These ladies have done it again. It’s such an inspiration to see them working together on something they are so passionate about.
I am personally grateful for Dance & Company for building such a tight knit community that is family friendly. Our family loves it here, and I can’t imagine my girl dancing anywhere else. I bet everyone has their own amazing personal stories about how they started at Dance & Company and why they love it so much. We would love to hear them all!

Congratulations to everyone who won a raffle prize! Be sure to take advantage of all your special offers. And finally, a big thank you to all of our sponsors who helped support the event with their donations.
Cheers to another successful year ahead for the entire Dance & Company family!
